Chief of Police Louise Consola must confront the untimely death of one of her childhood best friends. As she investigates his death, she finds out that he had been hiding a secret for decades, one that if it ever came out would destroy her town. When her husband becomes a target, Louise realizes that a coach in town might be behind the attack on her husband. If she reveals the truth, it will come out that her husband has known about the coach for decades. If she protects her husband, the coach will hurt someone else. She is forced to act, but in a way where she might lose her soul.
